I still can’t believe my youngest sister graduated from college! It feels like I just threw her high school graduation party four years ago! She wanted a glamorous party to dance the night away and get all dolled up after studying for what felt like forever, and that’s exactly what she got. She’s accomplished so much at such a young age, and we are all proud of everything she has done and continues to do. She’s the strongest, smartest, most fearless person I know, and she deserves to be celebrated every single second. I wish I could give her the world, but I think she’s fine with this Great Gatsby themed graduation party, for now.
Everything – from the dessert table to the outfits – was inspired by the roaring 1920’s era. Feathers, pearls, candles, Art Deco patterns, and sparkly details were all a must. We had the talented photographer Shorooq Shalabi take some beautiful photos of the graduate a couple days before the party. We then used those photos and some of our own photos as part of the decor in addition to tassels to give it a graduation feel. The photos were used on the dessert table, guest tables, and guest book table. We added our homemade cupcakes and mini chocolate bars to the elegant dessert table we decorated. Each guest got to take home a 1920’s style headband favor that we wrapped to match the theme. On each page of the guest book we designed was a box for a message and a box to place a printed picture of the guest with the graduate. The guest table centerpieces were Art Deco inspired mats, photo frames, red feathers, gold sequins, lace candle jars, and large black balloons. The photo booth was a sequined backdrop with tassels. The props were a combination of graduation and 1920’s inspired props. Check out the pictures below for more glamorous details. We love you Nisreen and we hope your future will be filled with more and more success! Congratulations doll!
