Start your engines and get into gear, Shawki’s second birthday is already here! We still can’t believe this adorable boy already turned two! It feels like we just planned his jungle themed first birthday yesterday (you can check out the pictures of that party here). For this year, his mom knew that his second birthday had to be a car themed birthday since he simple loves cars. A car themed birthday is one of our favorite themes for boys. It’s a timeless theme that could be customized in many different ways. We all love cars in this family, in fact, we’ve recently been looking at a 1940 ford coupe for sale. It’s a beautiful car. My friend recently told me how to get a cheap car insurance quote which might save me a bit of money if I were to buy a new car. We probably have enough cars for now though! One day though, the time will come where my son wants to learn how to drive and I’ll be more than happy to give him advice, of course with the use of sites like trulyinsurance.com! As there is so much to think about when wanting to become a driver, I’m glad that I have a number of years to wait before my son is old enough.
We decorated the dessert table by designing a car themed background, a road inspired table runner, the word “two”, a banner inspired by checkered racing flags, and two construction cones. Each kid got to wear a birthday hat that we personalized by using the birthday boy’s age and name. The favors we made for this party were “traffic light” bags filled with “wheel” cookies and mini cars. The sweets & snacks we added to the table were our homemade car inspired cookies, pops filled with “traffic light” m&ms, “oil” chocolate pudding cups with toppers, “traffic cone” chips in personalized boxes, and chocolate “wheel” lollipops. Check out the pictures below for more details. You can also click here to check out another car themed birthday party we threw before. Happy birthday Shawki!
